The best bartenders around! The food is inconsistent and the drinks are a little pricey. This is one of the only bars on Johns Island that caters to a slightly younger crowd. They have great social events (pig pickin, oyster roast) that keep things interesting. Also, good deals during football season.

My boyfriend and I stopped here for lunch on a Saturday after visiting the Angel Oak. There were very few people in the restaurant when we arrived, which made us a little apprehensive. After taking a look at the menu, that feeling subsided. We ordered a New Moon chips as an appetizer and a white pizza. The chips were the perfect We most definitely cleaned our plates.

Terrrrrrible service, drinks are OUTRAGEOUS, terrible service....but pizza is good. It was more for two small little margaritas here than four large at other reputable bars.

Johns Island is fortunate to have such a enjoyable pizza spot on my favorite of the five Charleston islands. There is no other pizza business in anywhere in the low country that I'm aware of that dishes out hot, not speaking from a oven temperature perspective, and unique heaping portions of fresh ingredients on top of some top knotch crusts. I'm an Italian from New Yawk, I know a good pizza crust when I devour one. From my first time inside, the tap beers were flowing perfectly and the temperature was spot on. Live music being played from a precariously small bartop stand. My friend ordered a meatball sub and it took all of the intestinal fortitude I could muster up, not to reach across the table and strangle him. The hurricane pizza was spicey and would have the traditional Everything pizza pie sticking its head in the sand. Brave and bold in flavor, a place I'll always return to when possible.

Transplant from San Diego and happy to discover this find of a Pub/restaurant just minutes down the beautiful country roads of Johns Island. Everything one is looking for in a great happy hour: Cold local brewskis, light crusted pizza with fresh ingredients, and flavorful burgers. Or if you are a Person and into that type of thing, do the sushi instead; you will be amazed at the portions and the freshness of the seafood. The large dog-friendly outdoor patio offers cool breezes from the fans that are cleverly attached to the trees, and the outdoor lighting makes for a nice ambiance. Plus they sometimes offer music on the deck, and a popular ladies night on Wednesday. The Loophole has it going on! Nice job.....

This place is AMAZING! Such a cool array of options to please even the pickiest of eaters from sushi to fried chicken with honey siracha sauce to Mac n cheese & shrimp n grits! We love them so much we are having them cater our wedding!!!

OK, another Bar, but the Pizza is to die for. Small tiny pieces of Pizza is their trademark. Wife and I always get a large, which is perfect for us. The small pieces makes you eat more and faster. Service is a little slow, but get over it. If you are a Bar person, likes Beer and Pizza, go there. Wait for the best Pizza you will eat. Oh yea, thin crust and crispy. Don't you just hate "soggy" Pizza.... Frank G

Note: This review is about ice cold PBRs and the atmosphere. The PBRs I drank that evening were nearly as cold as ice. I'd say Fahrenheit 28.7, maybe 29.1 We'll never know what happened that night. Of the small Johns Island bar scene, this place has a bit of a college/biker bar vibe. Dark walls, a lot of metal surfaces... They also have a cool outdoor seating area with a bunch of TV's and if you're over this way, it's as good of a place as any stop of and fuel up. Hope to get a pizza soon so I can comment on the food.

Every time I stop in its the same story. Pretty good food, but young waitresses that do not have a clue about customer service.

My friend Melissa got a new car and wanted to pick me up and take me out to dinner first let me say what an awesome car white car white leather seats push a button on the key and it starts up. I totally want one I don't know if it was a BMW or Maserati but that thing was sweet she has no idea but she let me drive it and I think I hit 145 over the bridge! I love going fast! She said how fast are we going and I just laughed and told her 75 and she bought it I think it's so smooth but now onto the food which is why I'm here. I knew this place is a pizza restaurant but now they're serving sushi and I had heard it from a few other friends that it was delicious and I must say my friends with some of them might be dip shits ha ha ha ha they were right on:-)) delicious cocktails thanks snappy for that nice treat totally unexpected but oh so sweet. It was ladies night Wednesday had this great musician named Jamison playing ladies got a free glass of champagne and edamame beans. We got a Johns Island Rental and some other delicious roll with tempura shrimp in it and both were truly tasty. Interesting rolls with a nice balance of flavor sushi rice very well done good job there. Our waitress was this cute girl who just moved to the area I think her name was Ashley and she took the best care of us. way to go Ashley we will come back to see you as much as to enjoy the food again. This is a nice little Johns Island gem.

I have been there numerous times and have always had great service. The food had been good and the sushi even better. Try the spring rolls.

Service is horrible. Messed up salad (got a watermelon salad with no water melon), sushi and chicken finger orders! Took 1 1/2 hrs for a family of 4... Avoid if you want something quick

I was craving a burger (37 weeks pregnant!) and we decided to go to New Moon. OMG! Both of us had a burger and they were really good! Better than Melvins by a landslide! The burger was perfectly seasoned, thick, fresh bread, hot fries, crispy bacon..Yum! We will definitely return

Chips and salsa were great and the house hot sauce was amazing!!! The food left me disappointed. I tried the Cameron's Mexicano with jalapeños and onions hoping it would be as good as it sounds but there was no flavor at all. My husband got the ribeye and chicken and it came out burnt to a crisp. They did make him a new one which was generous but came out much later and lost our interest.

The bar can be a little loud and country music filled for my taste but I love this place for take out pizzas. The hurricane pizza is amazing and I also really enjoy the Buffalo shrimp. When the weather is warm I love watching football outside here

The food is excellent. The loaded potato pizza seriously hit the spot. A lot beers to choose from especially for a sports bar. Great place to watch the football game on Sundays!

As a local of johns island, I have been here several times and the service has been the same every time. Terrible. We have just gotten burgers and each time it has taken over a half hour from when we place our order until when we get our food. Service otherwise is still lacking. Slow all around.

I don't even know what to say.. I went last night (friday night) didn't see anyone eating or didn't personally try the food .. Employees were nice but I had to get my drink and get out.. It was loud rough looking crowd.. Rough necks literally staring at me especially when my husband went to restroom it just was uncomfortable and prob won't be back to try food.. It just wasnt a good relaxing place to go at all..

Try the Hurricane pizza. They always seem to have something going on over there. Definitely worth checking out if you like good pizza. I have been many times and have always left satisfied. Good service, good food, reasonable prices, and a fun atmosphere.
